Wellbeing Survey – Year 7 and Year 9

Greenford High School will be carrying out a survey in March to measure the wellbeing of our students in Year 7 and Year 9.

The survey is being conducted by the EBPU, the Evidence Based Practice Unit, in conjunction with University College London, and will give us some invaluable data on how our students feel, and how they are getting on. This in turn can be used to look at the provision we have in place for them at school, both across the curriculum and pastorally, so we can best meet their needs.

In order for your child to take part, we need to provide EBPU with very basic information about your child, in order to help with the collation of the results. This data will not be shared beyond EBPU and will remain confidential – please see the accompanying information that talks about the survey, the collection of data, and how it will be used. The information also explains that the project is being conducted over a 3-year period and you are free to remove withdraw your child at any time.

If you are happy for your child to take part in the data, you don’t need to do anything. If, however, you would not like your child to take part, there is an opt-out slip at the end of the letter sent out to parents, to send to the address supplied, by Wednesday 21st February 2018. together with contact details . For further information, you can contact Mrs Grimley, Assistant Headteacher – Inclusion and Child Protection at the school on: lgrimley@greenford.ealing.sch.uk

We look forward to working with EBPU and your child on this important project, and appreciate your support.
