Science
The Science department aims to teach Science to a high standard whilst highlighting the importance of science in everyday life. Students are given the opportunity of hands on experience in a safe environment with an aim to developing their interest and enjoyment of the subject. Science is popular at GHS with a significant proportion of students choosing to continue the subject after GCSE.
In Years 7-9 (KS3) students study a variety of topics across Biology, Chemistry and Physics; such as the environment, microbes, compounds, mixtures, sound and electricity.
