At Greenford High School we believe that student voice is an integral part of improving learning and teaching, as well as the life of the school in general.
Greenford High School is one of the executive schools in the SSAT and is well established in sharing good practice with other schools in West London. Greenford has pioneered an innovative Junior Leadership Team which consists of a group of students who have been selected based on a rigorous application process and who are attached to members of the senior leadership team to elicit and feedback student perspectives on how best to make improvements to the school.
There is also a democratically elected school council which consists of two students from each year group who have been chosen by their peers to represent the year as a whole, while each form also has two elected form representatives who are responsible for gaining student opinions from their registration groups. Students are involved in numerous aspects of school life and regularly undertake activities such as interviewing of new staff, departmental reviews and focus groups.
