Letter to parents on summer exams

Headteacher Mia Pye has written to parents and carers following the government’s announcement that exams will not take place as planned in the summer.

The government has said that they will be using a ‘form of teacher-assessed grades, with training and support provided to ensure that these are awarded fairly and consistently.’ We currently have no further information regarding this but may well need to use evidence of learning from this year and therefore it is very important students who would have sat exams in the summer continue to work hard during this period of remote learning.

We remind all our students to log in to Google Classroom before 9am every morning and then check again at least once in the afternoon. There will be a mixture of live lessons, video lessons and work set on Google Classroom.
