Ealing’s Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) Programme
For children and young people in receipt of benefits-related free school meals and limited places for vulnerable children and young people.
We are delighted to be delivering in the London Borough of Ealing the Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme which is being funded by the Department for Education. Funds have been made available to provide free holiday provision, including healthy food and enriching activities, for children and young people in school from Reception to Y11 who reside in the London Borough of Ealing and are in receipt of benefits-related free school meals (FSM).
Ealing’s Winter HAF Programme will run from Monday 20th December – Friday 24th December & Wednesday 29th December – Friday 31st December. (Please note that the 27th & 28th of December 2021 along with the 3rd of January 2022 are bank holidays so the HAF programme will not operate on these days).
Throughout the borough, over 30 HAF providers will be offering a range of free activities as well as a healthy meal. Children and young people can attend for a maximum of 4 hours per day, 5 days per week, with any number of our HAF providers.
Eligible children & young people will be allocated codes, which parents/carers will receive through a leaflet distributed by their child’s school along with details of how to book on to activities (please find attached an example of the leaflet due to go out). These leaflets will be distributed on the week commencing 6th December.

If you are currently not in receipt of benefits-related free school meals, but think you may be eligible, visit Free School Meals | Ealing Directory (ealingfamiliesdirectory.org.uk) to find out more and apply. If you become eligible after the week commencing 6th December, you will need to email HAF@ealing.gov.uk to request an eligibility code.
