Additional Information for Visitors

Safeguarding statement of intent

Greenford High School is committed to providing a safe, secure and healthy environment for all our students, staff and visitors. We believe that if this commitment is to be put into practice then the safeguarding policies and procedures the school has drawn up must be adhered to, communicated and fully understood and applied by everybody associated with the school.

Visitors to the school

All visitors will be required to sign in at Reception upon arrival and to wear a coloured ID badge. The badge must be clearly visible at all times.

A red badge means that the visitor in question is not included on Greenford Single Central Record (SCR) and as such must be escorted whilst they are on site during the working day.

Inclusion on the school’s SCR requires that the school sees the individual’s original CRB (Criminal Record Bureau) enhanced clearance. We will make a photocopy of the pro-forma, retain this for the duration of the visit and then destroy this copy. Photo ID will also be required to confirm identity. Please note that acceptance of the CRB pro-forma will be subject to a portability check. If such a check is required then the CRB pro-forma will need to be made available at least 1 week in advance of the visit. Failing this the visitor will be accompanied whilst on site.

A green badge means that the visitor in question is included on Greenford’s SCR and therefore is able to move around the school site unaccompanied.
