Friday 3rd July

From the Headteacher

Dear Parents and Carers,

I am really looking forward to one of the highlights of our year, International Day, which I know so many students are excited about too.  You can see more about this below.

And, as I write this, I have just finished watching some of our immensely talented students receive awards in our Sports Awards Evening, which is always such a wonderful event.  Celebration is such a key part of what we do here at Greenford, and I invite you to reflect on your child's successes over the coming weeks at home, as we draw another wonderful year to a close.

Thank you, as ever, for all of your support.

Mrs M Pye

International Day 2026

It is hard to believe that it is almost a year since our last International Day – how the time flies!

This year’s highly anticipated event takes place on Wednesday, 8th July, and its announcement in assemblies has already generated immense excitement across the school. We have been inundated with dancers, singers and instrumentalists wishing to take part in one of the three shows on the day! How fortunate are we to be able to celebrate our vibrant and diverse community by wearing our traditional outfits, tasting international delicacies in the dining hall, and watching heritage spectacles performed by our fantastic students.

End of Year Celebrations

As we are progressing to the end of the academic year, we continue to celebrate our students' achievements.

Last week, Year 7s had their celebration assemblies:

Well done to all students who worked so hard and won awards!

Descendants

We are so proud to announce that one of our lovely students, Janice Lewin, has been nominated by her teachers and has now been selected to attend the award ceremony:

'I am writing to let you know that your child, Janice-Cianna Lewin, has been nominated by their school and has been selected by Descendants to attend the 21st Annual Dr John Roberts QC CBE Achievement Award Ceremony to be publicly recognised for their academic achievements.'

If you would like to find out more about the work that the Descendants do, please use this link: https://www.descendants.org.uk/

Year 12 Initiative- Raising Money for Charity

Our brilliant Year 12s are working to raise money for a worthwhile cause as well as build on their leadership skills.

It is lovely to see them engage with our younger students and deliver assemblies to promote this.
