Intervention and Studio 11

At Greenford High School, we are determined to give every student the opportunity to progress and achieve to the best of their ability. To help students accelerate their progress, we run a series of initiatives after school, on Saturdays and during school holidays.

Studio 11

Studio 11 is a Greenford institution – a quiet space for selected GCSE students to complete purposeful homework and revision activities after school Monday – Thursday. Expertly overseen by the Key Stage 4 team, students who are in danger of missing their GCSE targets are placed in compulsory Studio 11 in order to ensure every student achieves as well as they possibly can by the end of Year 11.

Studio 11 also gives the opportunity for subject teachers to withdraw students and run bespoke revision and coursework sessions with students after school. In some cases, this will involve the majority of Year 11; other sessions are targeted at students who need a little extra help with specific topics or skills.

Saturday and holiday sessions

Students at Greenford High School are privileged to receive Saturday and Holiday intervention sessions by your subject specialist teachers free of charge. Your child's Year team will provide further information when such sessions are organised for them.
