Transfer from Primary School to High School at 11+

The local authority, London Borough of Ealing, administers the Co-ordinated High School Admissions Scheme. Applications for transfer from primary school to high school should be made on the common application form by the published closing date. Full details of how to apply for a school place, including when and how applications should be submitted and how to complete an online application can be found on the Ealing Council website.

The school prioritises all applications according to the school’s Admissions Policy. Offers are made by Ealing at the beginning of March.

If you live outside Ealing borough applications should be made via your local authority.

The timetable for September 2024 Year 7 admissions is as follows:

  • Final Closing Date: 31st October 2023
  • Offer Date: 1st March 2024

Admission Appeals

Admissions Appeals for September 2024 will be held on 14th, 15th, and 17th May 2024.  The closing date for appeal applications to be submitted is Thursday 28th March 2024.

Parents/carers applying to the school should note that:

  1. Greenford High is a Foundation school and not a Local Authority maintained school
  2. Appeals are heard by an Independent Appeals Panel
  3. The Headteacher and Governors are not involved in the appeals process at any stage, apart from agreeing the admissions policy and consulting with the community about it years in advance.
