Post 16 Bursary

Financial Support

Greenford High School is committed to ensuring that financial barriers do not impede academic success. The Government provides the 16–19 Bursary Fund to schools and colleges, specifically designed to support students who require financial assistance to remain in further education or training.

Purpose of the Fund

The bursary is intended to assist with essential education-related costs incurred during the academic year. Eligible students may receive support for:

  • Daily Essentials: Nutritional support (meals) and transport costs to and from the centre.

  • Learning Resources: Textbooks, specialist stationery, and course-specific equipment.

  • Professional Attire: Assistance with meeting the Post 16 dress code requirements.

  • Enrichment: Contributions toward compulsory educational visits and field trips.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for a bursary award, applicants demonstrate a clear requirement for financial support (further evidence and specific household income thresholds will be requested during the application process).
