GCSE Success at GHS!

Another year of strong GCSE results!
Students and staff are celebrating the achievements of this year’s GCSE cohort, with some outstanding results once again.
Our Value Added score (which measures progress) puts us in the top 15% of schools in the country.
Almost 90% of entries were graded 5+ in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. An impressive 45% of all the grades for each of the separate Sciences were awarded at the top end, 9-7! We experienced similar successes with our Further Maths results, where almost two thirds of the cohort achieved grades 9-7! Strong achievement was realised in Economics (77% 9-5), Business Studies (67% 9-5), English Literature (66% 9-5), RE (70% 9-5), Psychology (63% 9-5) and Art (63% 9-5) demonstrating the wide range of opportunities available at Greenford High.
Three quarters of our students achieved passes in English and Maths; this is a key measure and will enable all to progress onto Level 3 courses. A quarter of all grades were awarded at the very top end, 9-7, a testament to our high ambitions and the academic support we provide for all of our students.
While we are incredibly proud of each and every student for their individual achievements, special mention must go to Serena Kahlon and Aman Brar who achieved 10 grade 9s plus 1 grade 8 and 9 grade 9s plus 1 grade 8 respectively, while Ferishta Mourtaza achieved 9 Grade 9s and 1 Grade 8. Dhiya Premraj achieved 8 grade 9s and 1 grade 8, while Aqsa Ali, Numair Kabir and Krishan Sharma all achieved 8 grade 9s. We also had 35 students who all achieved grades 9-7, which is an incredible achievement.
We are really proud of the commitment our staff and students demonstrated in achieving this set of very good results and we look forward to our students joining us for fantastic sixth form provision, following another set of outstanding A Level results again this year.
