Covid testing and reopening plans

Headteacher Mia Pye has written to parents and carers with plans for how and when students will return to school.

The Government has asked schools to test students for Covid-19 before they return. This testing will begin this week so that students can return to the classroom as early as possible. Testing is not compulsory, but it is recommended.

If you are happy for your child to be tested, and you have not yet returned your consent form, please complete the Lateral Flow Testing Consent Form as soon as possible. Your child will not be able to have a test without consent being given. If you do not wish your child to have the test, please complete the form and indicate that you do not wish to give consent.

Lessons will begin for some students on Monday 8 March but we will not be able to have all students on site that day as testing will still be continuing. Full details of the date each year group needs to attend school for a test and when they will start lessons is contained in the letter which is attached below.

We very much look forward to welcoming students back to school and will make the process as smooth as we possibly can for all year groups.
