Extra-Curricular

At Greenford High School we believe education goes way beyond lessons. We like to encourage our students to get involved in as many extra-curricular activities as possible. Whether you want to compose a symphony, get fit, take on the issues of the world through the power of speech or engineer a racing car, there’s something here for you.

Here's a short video highlighting some of the trips and extra-curricular opportunities at Greenford:

Music Lessons

Instrumental lessons are available at an extra cost and are taught in small groups with a specialist teacher. The instruments available are drum kit, piano, keyboard, guitar, violin, flute, vocal, saxophone, trumpet, trombone and clarinet. As well as instrumental lessons students take part in a variety of extracurricular clubs including junior and senior choir, keyboard club, string ensemble, jazz band, percussion ensemble, orchestra and a variety of rock bands and guitar groups. These groups are given the opportunity to perform at a variety of events including the musical production, popular music concerts and many more.

Trips

Some of the best learning takes place outside the classroom at museums, galleries, on field trips or at performances. We typically run over 150 trips a year to everywhere from a Dorset beach to the British Film Institute. Trips are starting to return to normal following the Covid-19 pandemic and we look forward to offering a full range of trips both in the UK and abroad.
